  1:30   Boarded Oleta bus with our guide 
  2:00   Quick McDonald's stop
  2:30   Off to Mt. Vernon
  3:00   Toured Mt. Vernon 
           (Washington's home and tomb)
  4:50   Passed Fort Washington on our
           way to Old Town Alexandria. 
           We saw a tiny house, the home of 
           Robert E. Lee and the church that 
           George Washington attended.
 5:30   Armand's:  Pizza, salad & Oreos
 6:30   Off to the Capitol  where we saw
           the rotunda, Statuary Hall, the 
          House & the Senate.
8:05   At the Archives we saw the 
         Constitution, the Declaration of
         Independence & Magna Carta  
8:35  Visited Korean War Memorial,  
         viewed the Reflecting Pool and the
        19 foot tall Lincoln Memorial.  
        We saw the Vietnam Wall & 
        the Women's War Memorial.
 9:50  Picture stop on Einstein's lap.
10:35 Days Inn Dulles, in Herndon, VA
 

Day 2
 7:00    Wake up call
 8:00    Breakfast at Days Inn
 8:30    Departed for city
 9:00    Arrived in the city
 9:20    Washington Monument tickets
 9:30    Visited the Library of Congress
10:00   Supreme Court tour including 
            the self supporting spiral staircase
11:15   Lunch at the Old Post Office 
12:20   American History & 
            Natural History Smithsonians
           Don't forget the Hope Diamond!
  2:45  Off to  the National Cathedral, 
           where we ascended the tower.
 5:15    Off to Alfio's!
 5:30    Lasagna or spaghetti, salad and 
            ice cream at Alfio's!
 6:30    To the Washington Monument.  7:00    555 feet 5 1/8 inches to the top 
            of the Washington Monument
 8:00    First the Jefferson Memorial
            then the FDR Memorial  
 9:15    Kennedy Center Hall of Flags  
           Watergate is across the street.
 9:55    Iwo Jima Memorial
10:45   Returned to the hotel 

Day 3
 7:00  Wake up call
 8:00  Breakfast at Days Inn 
 9:30  Shopping near Ford’s Theater
10:30 In Arlington Cemetery, we saw 
          the home of Robert E. Lee, the 
         graves of John F. Kennedy and 
         Robert Kennedy.  After the
        Changing of the Guard, 4 group 
        members placed a wreathe at the
        Tomb of the Unknowns.
 1:00 Subway ride to Pentagon City for 
         lunch
 2:15 Passed the Pentagon on the way to 
        the Shrine of the Immaculate
        Conception  
  2:45  Shrine of the Immaculate 
         Conception and shopping
 5:15  Off to Burn Brae Dinner 
         Theater
 6:15  Arrived at Burn Brae for 8pm 
          performance of  Lil Abner
11:45 Arrived at Days Inn Hotel

Day 4

 9:00   Ford's Theater where Lincoln 
           was shot & Petersen House  
           where Lincoln died
